We weren’t able to interview Reese so we will share some information about him and the amazing business he and his dad have created.
Reese was born with cancer. He had tumors in his neck, spine, liver, right shoulder and chest. When he was a baby he had to go through chemo therapy and many surgeries to get rid of the cancer. The tumor in his neck and spine crushed his spinal cord so he has difficulty walking.
Reese was ten years old when we wrote his book. His younger brother, Callen was 2 ½ years old. Reese loves Disney characters and super heroes.
As we were working on Reese’s book his dad was working on creating Walkin’ and Rollin'. He created this business to share his experience in building Halloween costumes. Reese and his dad now travel all over the United States to teach others how to build costumes for children with wheelchairs.
